Undoubtedly one of Australia’s greatest talents in the world scene of freestyle motocross, Blake ‘Bilko’ Williams has gone all out for his assault to win another gold medal at this year’s Summer X Games event being held this weekend.

Arguably the annual Olympics for Action Sports; the Summer X Games event will be held for the first time ever, in Austin, Texas USA and attracts the best athletes from all over the world to compete in their respective action sports disciplines.

‘Bilko’ as Blake is most commonly known, is a four-time X Games medalist and is competing in X Games for the 5th time in his career, winning his only gold medal in 2009, in Moto X Freestyle. After missing two years in 2010-2011 due to injury, the 29-year-old Victorian, is back to capitalise on a silver medal from last year, in his preferred Moto X Speed & Style category.

“I believe I’m better prepared than ever before for X Games. Obviously last year I did Freestyle and Speed & Style, this year I’ve toned it back down to just focus on Speed & Style. Over the years I’ve always thrown everything on the line and it’s either left me doing well in contests or in the back of an ambulance,” claimed Williams.

“I’m definitely fired up this year, everything’s looking good; I’ve got my tricks sorted, corner speed sorted, starts sorted. So as long as I go out and ride my best, stay healthy and give it everything I could, I’ll be happy,” stated Williams.

Moto X Speed & Style fuses high-octane supercross style racing with insane freestyle motocross tricks. Riders fight for the best lap time and trick execution in a head-to-head elimination battle.

The X Games event is definitely the time to shine for action sports stars, owned by broadcaster ESPN, the X Games will be broadcasted into 156 countries and to an estimated audience of over 37 million television viewers around the world in 2014.
