CLINTON MOORE TO ATTEMPT THE IMPOSSIBLE AT THE AUS-X OPEN

Former Freestyle Motocross (FMX) World Champion – Clinton Moore, has been the first megastar confirmed to compete in the Monster Energy ‘Best Trick’ contest at the 2016 AUS-X Open, with the Australian expected to attempt a world-first trick for a share in the record breaking $120,000 prize pool.

Moore, who rose to the pinnacle of FMX by winning the 2015 X Fighters World Championship, is excited to compete inside Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on November 12 & 13, citing that landing a world-first FMX trick would be unbelievably special on home soil.

“I’m really looking forward to competing at the 2016 AUS-X Open! I love competing and to have a ‘Best-Trick’ competition on home soil, it just brings another element to the whole event. You always want to win in your home country.

Nothing beats the Aussie Pride; the fans have your back the entire time. Australians, in my mind, are the most passionate FMX fans in the world.

I’m ready to throw down a world-first trick, and I’m excited to see what my competition is bringing to the table too – the entire contest will be truly unmissable,” exclaimed Moore.

In the world of FMX, the ‘Best-Trick’ contest is fairly self-explanatory; perform your hardest, most difficult stunt on a motorcycle, in a bid to capture gold medal glory. Best-Trick contests have been responsible for tricks such as the Double Backflip, numerous Backflip variations, Frontflip combinations, 360 and 540 spins along with the recent influx of body varials.

In order to continue progressing the sport, Moore believes best-trick contests are vital, as it provides riders the platform to showcase a never-before-seen trick.

“It (Best Trick) is vital to the sports progression because it gives riders the motivation and chance to show the world the next big thing. Having events like the AUS-X Open showcase ‘Best-Trick’ is instrumental for the sports evolution.

The general public wouldn’t realise such a sport exists if they never had the chance to see it, and now we have the chance to blow Australia’s mind and millions around the world, at the AUS-X Open,” finished Moore.

In conjunction with Moore’s announcement, an exclusive never-before-seen film has been released (below), providing behind the scenes insight into Moore’s training and potential best-tricks to come at this years AUS-X Open.

The AUS-X Open is the largest and most prestigious action sports event in the Southern Hemisphere. An international supercross exclusive will run alongside the FMX ‘Best Trick’ competition, where an array of the worlds-best talent is expected to be confirmed over the following weeks.
