SANDOWN 500 WINNERS CONFIDENT OF REPEAT SUCCESS AT BATHURST 1000

Fresh of the back of his debut win on the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, Cam Waters is still riding on that winning high, heading into this weekend’s Bathurst 1000.

Monster Energy Racing teammate Richie Stanaway is still pinching himself after Sandown, a maiden win in just his fourth outing in the main series.

The Kiwi sensation says winning the Bathurst 1000 this weekend would fulfil a childhood dream and he believes the young pair have the package to take it to the sport’s best at Mount Panorama.

Waters, too, is confident they have right stuff under the bonnet to tackle the high speed Bathurst circuit and that a win at ‘The Great Race’ is now a real possibility come Sunday.

Supercars hit the Mount Panorama circuit this Thursday for Practice before gridding up for Australian motor racing version of the ‘Big Dance’ on Sunday.
