Following an incredibly successful two seasons, Australia’s most powerful and insightful behind-the-scenes sports reality TV program – Supercars Life, returns for season three in 2017, and will double in length, now lasting one hour per episode on FOX SPORTS Channel 506.
Produced by AME Management, Supercars Life delves into the lives of Australia’s fastest racecar drivers, exploring their lives both at and away from the track, in a way that has never been seen before.
Deep real-life storylines combined with stunning cinematography, provides viewers with the ultimate ‘fly on the wall’ experience, allowing for a fully immersed understanding of the Supercars drivers and teams, and most importantly – the emotions and relationships involved within this fantastic Supercars Championship.
Supercars legend and 2017 TeamVortex driver – Craig Lowndes, expresses the behind the scenes aspect of Supercars Life as a great insight into the overall perspective of the sport.
“Supercars Life gives fans a great look inside the sport, behind the scenes, and tells some great stories that show there’s so much more to the sport and drivers, than just the racing,” Lowndes exclaimed.
Supercars Life Executive Producer – Ryan Sanderson from AME believes the rapid growth in popularity of Supercars racing not only nationwide, but internationally too, is a key factor in the success of the program, and is excited to be providing a much more expanded series for 2017.
“It’s really amazing to see Supercars Life evolve into something much bigger, and even more in depth this year. The reception from the fans over the last two years has been incredible, and to be able to provide them with an even more captivating experience is something that we’re very excited by and will work as hard as we can and closely with Supercars, FOX SPORTS and all teams, to ensure ultimately that the fans are happy with the end result,” Sanderson said.
“The belief and support from FOX SPORTS again in 2017 is absolutely massive, and we’re all very appreciative of the opportunity to work closely with them and the Supercars teams and drivers, ensuring Supercars Life continues its success on Australia’s leading producer of sports television coverage!”
2015 Supercars Champion – Mark Winterbottom, expressed his enthusiasm for the return of the series, citing that the in-depth insights create a much more intimate experience between drivers and fans.
“The one thing Supercars fans love is to relate to us as people; Supercars Life gives our fans an insight into our personal life away from the track; it portrays who we are as people; what is important to us and how we live our life day to day, so much more than just our race face,” Winterbottom stated.
Six-time Supercars Champion – Jamie Whincup, echoed similar thoughts to both Lowndes and Winterbottom.
“There’s a whole lot more to Supercars than meets the eye and what AME have been able to capture through the Supercars Life series is a unique and extremely accurate depiction of what drives our sport to the highest level.
Every single team member competes with their hearts on their sleeves and I think the Supercars Life series truly captures that raw emotion which drives the Supercars Championship,” said Whincup.
For 2017, Supercars Life will consist of 13, one hour long episodes, featuring an extended series of personalities including segments on Supercars legends – Mark Skaife and Russell Ingall, along with media personalities – Greg Rust, Greg Murphy and many more.

FOX SPORTS Motorsports Executive Producer – Simon Gee – is excited to broadcast the third season of Supercars Life on FOX SPORTS, which complements the network’s unmatched LIVE and HD coverage of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
“Supercars Life provides a superb, riveting and in-depth insight into the Supercars Championship, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have the series return for its third season in 2017,” Gee said.
